    The Asia-Oceanian Society for NeuroRehabilitation (AOSNR) was established to advance the development and improve the quality of neurological rehabilitation across the Asia-Oceanian region.

    The AOSNR is a multidisciplinary organisation open to any professional with an interest in neurological rehabilitation.

    The AOSNR facilitates exchange of knowledge and scientific research between professionals with an interest in neurological rehabilitation, including cooperation among National Scientific Societies addressing neurorehabilitation.

    After the 1st Congress held in 2015 in Seoul, Korea, the AOSNR organises a Congress every two years.

    We will achieve our mission by:

    • Producing a regular newsletter or communication in order to stimulate information between those with an interest in neurological rehabilitation.
    • Arranging courses and training programs in neurological rehabilitation.
    • Developing and distributing guidelines for best clinical practice and education standards in the field of neurological rehabilitation.
    • Organizing an AOSNR Congress to be held approximately every two years.
    • Collaborating with government organizations and national or international political bodies to increase awareness of neurorehabilitation problems and perspectives within the region.
    • Any other activity that will promote the development of neurological rehabilitation on a regional basis.

    Dear Colleagues,


    It’s my great honor to invite you for attending the 3rd Aisa-Oceanian Congress of NeuroRehabilitation ( AOCNR2019 ), which is to be held from 11-14.Apr, 2019 in Nanjing, China.


    The Asia-Oceanian Society of NeuroRehabilitation (AOSNR) is a Asia-Oceanian organization of neurorehabilitation experts representing neurologists, neurosurgeons, physiatrists, neuropsychologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and other professionals taking care of people with neurological disabilities. AOSNR hosts a scientific congress, the Asia-Oceanian Congress of Neurorehabilitation, AOCNR, where world experts gather to share best practices. After the 1st Congress held in 2015 in Seoul, Korea, the AOSNR organizes a Congress every two years. AOSNR already held international conferences two times (at 2015 in Seoul, South Korea, at 2017 Tagaytay, Philippines). There are currently 17 National Societies affiliated to AOSNR with research and education committees.


    The AOCNR 2019, China meeting is scheduled Nanjing, China and we are expecting about 1000 doctors and therapists from across the globe to attend this event especially .In Asia-Oceanian, as health care improves, there is reduced mortality but increased morbidity and neurologic disability has become a hidden epidemic. AOSNR2019 will definitely promotes international academic exchanges and cooperation in rehabilitation medicine field.


    The name Nanjing, which means “South Capital”, is reflective of the importance of Nanjing as the capital of the Six Dynasties in china's history. This city, with more than 6000 years of civilization, is an important birthplace of China. It has a rich cultural heritage and plentiful historical remains. I hope you will support AOCNR2019 wholeheartedly. I am looking forward to meeting you in my beautiful hometown.

    Deadline for submission: extend to Feb 20, 2019

    • Abstracts may be submitted for oral or poster presentations.
    • Abstracts must be submitted in English.

    The Congress Scientific Committee will determine whether abstracts will be accepted based on blind review. They will respect the authors' preference but reserve the right to assign the category and make the final decision.


    Submitted abstracts can be modified until each submission deadline.Abstract submitters can expect to receive notification regarding the acceptance of their abstract within 6 weeks (approximately) after the abstract submission deadline.


    Abstracts may focus on:

    • Fundamental research or clinical studies
    • Literature review
    • Case reports

    Requirements for Abstract Submission

    Before you begin, please prepare the following information:

    • Presenting author's contact details:
      • Email address
      • Full postal address
      • Daytime and evening phone numbers
    • Author and co-authors' details:
      • Full first and family name(s)
      • Affiliation details: department, institution / hospital, city, state (if relevant), country
    • Abstract title word limit: up to 25 words
    • Abstract text word limit: up to 300 words

    Technical Specifications

    • Tables, graphs and images: A maximum of three images (tables and figures) can be included per abstract. The maximum file size of each image is 500 KB. You may upload images in JPEG or PNG format.
    • Use only standard abbreviations. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after their full words appear for the first time.
    • Use generic names of drugs. Express numbers as numerals.

    Abstract Format

    Abstracts must be submitted with the following sections:

    • Background and aims
    • Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusions

    Abstract Topics: Abstracts must be allocated to a specific topic. You will need to select the topic most suited to your abstract from this list.

    • Abstracts must be submitted via the website only. Only abstracts submitted via the online submission form will be sent to the Abstract Review Committee for review. Abstracts submitted by fax or e-mail will not be accepted.
    • Please do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract.
    • Please note that there are no limits on the number of abstracts which can be submitted, however, each individual will be selected to present a maximum of two presentations (either Oral or Poster presentation).
    • The Scientific Committee reserves the right to edit all submitted abstracts for grammar, spelling and image resolution.
    • Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Work submitted for presentation must include an acknowledgment of funding sources of commercial nature and/or consulting or holding of significant equity in a company that could be affected by the results of the study.
    • Abstracts must be original and must not have been published or presented at any other meeting prior to AOSNR2019.

  • Visa Application

    All attendees without a Chinese passport will need a visa to visit China

    We recommend that you apply for a tourist visa, 1 month or more before your journey. If needed, there may have services available to expedite the process and shorten the wait time in your local Chinese embassy. A group with more than 9 people can apply for group tourism visa. (You do NOT need an invitation letter for a touristvisa.)

    • How to Get a Chinese Tourist Visa

    One may apply for a visa at the Chinese Embassy or at the nearest consulate general. Alternatively, many travel agencies will assist you with the application and some can submit it on your behalf. For detailed information, please contact your local Embassy, Consulate, or travel agency.

    • Processing Time

    It normally takes 4 working days for processing a China travel visa. For express service, an additional fee of USD 20 will be charged for two or three working day service. For rush service, an additional fee of USD30 will be charged for same-day service.

    • Chinese Tourist Visa Cost

    The visa costs vary depending on your nationality and number of entries. However, according to the Visa Fee Abolition Agreement, the nationals of following several countries can get a visa for free, but must pay for express service, rush service or mail service: Pakistan, Maldives, Bulgaria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovakia and Micronesia.
